PERCEIVE REALITY A/V
Perceive Reality A/V is a vivid exhortation to deepen the relationship with reality, avoiding simple and often illusory visions. In a historical context that favors the proliferation of dual information and visions, individuals are increasingly exposed to the danger of perceiving less the complexity of events, thus losing the training to express complex and articulate opinions, the fruit of reflection, both individual and collective. Without having the presumption to solve momentous issues, the project warns that unique answers do not exist and that only by developing a path of knowledge and giving us the opportunity to examine things in depth, we can enter into relationship with the existing.”
Based on this concept and in collaboration with visual artist Riccardo Franco-Loiri (alias AKASHA), KHOMPA has developed the Performance Live Perceive Reality A/V, premiered by the renowned British magazine Factmag.
The show is based on the performance of the musician who, using sophisticated sensors applied to the battery, controls in real time both the entire musical apparatus and the live views. 100% live. At each touch of the battery correspond different actions: the change of a musical note, the entry or exit of an instrument inside a composition, as well as a change of video/color, the switching on or off of a video effect, in addition to modulation of different parameters, both audio and video, through the use of filters responsive to sound and following envelopes.
The visualizations will have the task of guiding the viewer into the main concept of Perceive Reality. The video projections, which may initially seem indefinite and abstract, will suddenly take on a concrete and real aspect, and will facilitate a perception that gradually moves away from the initial one: a disruptive flow in which fragments of perspectives follow one after the other, to stimulate and surprise the public eye.
The invitation of the performance is therefore reiterated: we choose how to build opinions on the events of our lives and the world.
